On March 11th, we at the Rotaract Club of Nashik Smart City began an exciting journey as we kicked off the Rotaract Week celebration, a week-long festivity filled with exciting activities and community bonding. Throughout this special week, we reflected on our commitment to service and building lasting friendships.
As the week unfolded, our members delved into a variety of activities representing the club's five avenues: community, literacy, medical, ISD (International Service Development), and PLDC committee. This approach ensured that everyone had a diverse and enriching experience.
Our week commenced with a hands-on and creative start – a candle-making workshop. This activity not only sparked creativity but also served as a bonding experience for everyone involved. Later, we went on a visit to see the Ganga Arti, which added a spiritual vibe to our week and helped us feel more connected as a group.
The experience was not only a cultural exploration but also a moment of reflection and connection.
Mahadhan 9.0, a crucial event during Rotaract Week, took centre stage as our members arranged blood donation camps at the Nashik District Chemist and Druggist.
Association. It's worth noting that every club in the city celebrates their version of Mahadhan during Rotaract Week, turning it into a grand affair celebrated with enthusiasm and purpose.
Midweek brought us to an insightful club training session led by Rtr. Rahul Dhamne under the PLDC committee's guidance. It was a deep dive into understanding our club's operations, roles, and responsibilities. The session taught us a lot about our club's workings and how the Board of Directors operates.
March 15th marked the Red Ready event, showcasing the medical committee's dedication to health and well-being. Through the donation of sanitary pads to Prabhodhini Girls School, the club took a meaningful step towards supporting menstrual hygiene and promoting a healthier community.
We organized the quiz competition themed "Know Your Country" under my committee, i.e. the literacy committee, on March 16th. Honestly, at first, I was nervous about how this event would turn out, but it turned into a fantastic experience. With mixed teams and highly engaged members, it became quite a task to manage the energy and excitement! Collaborating with RAC MSGCooper added an extra layer of fun, creating an atmosphere filled with friendly competition and laughter. The event became not just about giving correct answers but also a platform for bonding, teamwork, and celebrating our diverse talents.
On March 17th, the grand finale of Rotaract Week took place with an open mic event at Sippers Choice. Members of the club showcased their talents with poems, stand-up acts, and musical performances. The event was open to everyone and turned out to be a wonderful evening, filled with enjoyment and appreciation for each other's skills and creativity.
But, none of this would have been possible without the collaborative efforts of the club's leadership, including the president, secretaries, directors, and every dedicated member. Together, we created lasting memories and meaningful impacts throughout Rotaract Week.
As we wrap up this exciting week, I, Rtr. Siddhi Patil, want to hear from you!
